Workout Summary: 5.5.17

Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

Had a great push workout today; much better than last week. Continuing to focus on the muscles and the movements. I switched up my bench press position and it was messing with my shoulder. I was still able to get my weights in there and do well, even though I was working on an injury. I’ll take that as progress and a win.

Here’s the rundown:

Warmup

  • 2 x 10 small arm swings, front and back
  • 2 x 10 large arm swings, front and back
  • 2 x 8 push-ups
  • 8 bench presses, 45 lb bar
  • 8 bench presses, 55 lbs

Bench press

  • 3 x 8, 65 lbs

Inclined press

  • 3 x 8, 20 lb dumbbells

Pectoral flies

  • 3 x 8, 12.5 lbs (each side)

Tricep extensions (cable machine)

  • 3 x 8, 20 lbs

Overhead tricep extensions

  • 3 x 8, 20 lb dumbbell

Seated military press

  • 3 x 7, 20 lb barbells (each side)
