Workout Summary: 4.5.17

Next, on a very special Muscles of Bust….

Nah, not really. Just Leg Day #WalkFunnyDay with some long-overdue core work mixed in.

It’d been an extra couple days since my last leg day so it seemed extra hard. I did good, though. Real good. By the time I got to calf raises, my knees were buckling. Pay dirt.

Here’s the rundown:

Warmup

  • 8 bodyweight squats
  • 8 (per side) lunges
  • 8 (per side) side lunges

Squats

  • 1 x 12, just the bar (warmup set)
  • 3 x 12, 65 lbs

Lunges

  • 3 x 12 (per side) walking lunges, 2 x 10 lb barbells

TRX assisted Squats

  • 2 x 12 bodyweight assisted squats

Hamstring curls

  • 1 x 12, 55 lbs
  • 2 x 12, 60 lbs

Leg extension

  • 2 x 12, 70 lbs
  • 7 @ 70 lbs, 5 @ 55 lbs

Calf raises

  • 3 x 12, 70 lbs (I used the leg press machine)

Core

  • 3 x 12, glute push-ups
  • 3 x 15, Russian twists, 8 lb medicine ball
