Workout Summary: 9.16.16

Really great workout today. I re-tested my max in lat pull-downs and found that my weight tolerance has gone up 9 whole pounds! That’s pretty amazing progress, I think.

I still have a pulled abdominal so not much core work went on today. Lots of upper body stuff, though.

Here’s the rundown:

Dynamic warmup

  • Lunge with a twist – 20 yards
  • Slide-n-glide – 20 yards
  • High knees, butt kicks – 10 yards each
  • Frankensteins, RDLs – 10 yards each
  • Karaoke – 40 yards

Lower body

  • Squats – 3 x 15, 55 lbs
  • Split squats – 3 x 8 (per side)

Upper body

  • Military press – 3 x 10, 55 lbs
  • Pectoral flys – 3 x 10, 20 lbs

Max-outs

  • Lat pull-down
