Workout Summary: 9.2.16

Today’s workout seemed a little strange and maybe disjointed. I think what happened was I was due to work out some odd muscle groups and they all happened to circle around on the same day.

That being said, I crushed my former squat weight record by 10 lbs! YASS.


Here’s the rundown:

Dynamic warmup

  • Lunge with a twist, 20 yards
  • High knees, 10 yards
  • Butt kicks, 10 yards
  • Frankenstein walks, 10 yards
  • RDLs, 10 yards
  • Karaoke, 40 yards

Lower body

  • Squats
    • 1 x 10 – 55 lbs
    • 1 x 8 – 60 lbs
    • 1 x 6 – 75 lbs
    • 1 x 6 – 85 lbs
  • Split squats
    • 3 x 8, each leg
  • Box jumps – 3 x 10

Shoulder stuff

  • Front and lateral raises
    • 3 x 15 – 7.5 lb weight
  • Shrugs
    • 3 x 15 – 20 lb weight

Core

  • Russian Twists – 3 x 20
  • Snowmen – 3 x 20
  • Hip raises – 3 x 10, 5 second pause at the top
