Today’s workout seemed a little strange and maybe disjointed. I think what happened was I was due to work out some odd muscle groups and they all happened to circle around on the same day.
That being said, I crushed my former squat weight record by 10 lbs! YASS.
Here’s the rundown:
Dynamic warmup
- Lunge with a twist, 20 yards
- High knees, 10 yards
- Butt kicks, 10 yards
- Frankenstein walks, 10 yards
- RDLs, 10 yards
- Karaoke, 40 yards
Lower body
- Squats
- 1 x 10 – 55 lbs
- 1 x 8 – 60 lbs
- 1 x 6 – 75 lbs
- 1 x 6 – 85 lbs
- Split squats
- 3 x 8, each leg
- Box jumps – 3 x 10
Shoulder stuff
- Front and lateral raises
- 3 x 15 – 7.5 lb weight
- Shrugs
- 3 x 15 – 20 lb weight
Core
- Russian Twists – 3 x 20
- Snowmen – 3 x 20
- Hip raises – 3 x 10, 5 second pause at the top
