Workout Summary: 8.8.2016

Really great workout today. My first set of flawless squats! Also, I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a decent oblique workout before today.

Here’s the rundown:

Dynamic warmup

  • Lunge-n-twists – 20 yards
  • Squats with leg extension – 20 yards
  • Frankenstein walk – 10 yards
  • RDLs -10 yards
  • High knees – 10 yards
  • Butt kicks – 10 yards
  • “Karaoke” (lateral shuffle) – 40 yards

Lower body

  • 5 x 10 squats – 35 lb bar
  • 3 x 10 hip abduction – 85 lb
  • 3 x 10 hip adduction – 85 lb

Upper body

  • 2 x 10, 1 x 2 military press – 45 lb bar
  • 1 x 8 military press – 35 lb bar
  • 3 x 10 lateral shoulder raise – 7.5 lb
  • 3 x 10 shoulder shrug – 5 lb
  • “Crazy 8’s”: 5 lb

Core

  • 2 x 10 back extension with 5 second pause at top
  • 4 x 10 oblique extension, 10 per side
